After many years of absence from the music scene I have started again with renewed enthusiasm, and, age and fitness permitting, may get back into recording and live playing.

 DEC 21st 2015

Our first little CD is finally complete and available here and there. It's only four songs, but we worked hard on them and we're happy with them. They would have been available far earlier, but we encountered a lot of problems with mixing and packaging. If you would like one contact me.We also did a gig supporting top act, Hennesea in Malvern, in early December and are looking to get on the circuit more next year. We're looking for the right venues, which means not to noisey. I believe we are also on facebook, but as I don't do that myself, you will have to look it up yourselves. We need a few 'FRIENDS', so just look for WYREWOOD.

NOV 1st 2015

'WYREWOOD' is up and running. This is a little band I am playing in alongside multi-instrumentalist, singer/ songwriter Rob Powell and Malvern based flautist and cellist , Lorna. We're playing somewhere in the folk/rock idiom with a hint of 'classical ' thrown in , courtesy of Rob and Lorna, who are both classically trained - and who make me feel a bit common.

The 'sing along covers band lovers' amongst you will be a little disappointed as we are doing entirely original stuff, but hey , it is our band and we're enjoying the angst and introspection.

We've just done our first real gig at 'The Piesse of Piddle Hotel';  scene of my Thursday art classes, where, with some deft movement of tables and a few candles created a nice warm club atmosphere. I will leave it to others to evaluate our performance, but we had fun and that is the main thing - Jules Holland can wait!
